ROMANTICISM: 'THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANTS' BY AJAKAYE STRIDA.

ODE- 'THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANT'

The bed is becoming so harsh and you are not here,
I am good as dead till you call me,
save your Discipline, I am not a modest lover,
you might be right, I don't care,
but I love you than you do to me,
many reasons to leave you
but the heart wants what it wants,
I promise never to leak my stories to poetry,
but I am so fussy a poet.

Baby, it is like a civilized fairy tale,
so scared of this love story,
maybe bad or good,
I am sure missing you scatters me as screaming stars,
I can't escape from this love,
such a prison that I await your touch
every moment I breathe,
this love is a feverish one.

Trust me, I can love you forever,
I can nag forever,
I can watch your eyes forever,
I can't sneak into your chat, such is needless,
I can spend thousand years starring at your eyes
but I can spill a gallon of inks
as I lament your attitude to poetry.

STRIDA- Striking Ideas.

The poet personae confesses how much she loves a man even as he gives her a little part of him. She has no other person to tell than Poetry.
