HOPE POEM: "I AM WHAT I AM GIVEN" BY KARIM
In the currents of life,
I am but a vessel,
Drifting on the tides of chance,
My shape, my form,
A product of the forces around me,
Forming and reforming with the ebb and flow.
My identity, a tapestry woven,
By the threads of circumstance,
And the colors of experience,
For I am what I am given,
A reflection of the world I inhabit,
And the stories that have shaped me.
Yet, though shaped by external forces,
I still have a choice,
A will of my own,
To steer my vessel,
In the currents of life.
To embrace the influences that come,
And make them my own,
To create a self that is truly mine,
And not just a mirror of what has been.
For while I am what I am given,
I am also what I make of myself,
A journey of self-discovery,
In the tides of life's adventure.
